Account deletion
How to request it
In the Android app, open Settings and choose Request account deletion. Confirm the prompt. That sends a request. It does not immediately wipe every server record.
What happens next
Staff review the request. When they complete it, the account is banned: it can no longer message or create groups through the normal product. The request is marked completed and an audit record is written.
Completing the request does not automatically delete the sign-in user from the authentication system. That remaining step, if it happens, is an operator action outside the app.
What may be kept
Safety reports, audit records, and related evidence may be kept. For safety, abuse prevention, and security review, the current design keeps:
- messages, including held messages
- reports, safety flags, and audit logs
- blocks
- group ownership records
- private activity feedback
- public-safe profile fields until an operator purge, which is not automatic
Revoking a shared contact hides it in RealCircle. It cannot delete a copy someone already saved outside the app.
What this is not
This is not a one-tap erase of every social row. There is no in-app legal-hold tool. If you need help with a request, use Support or support@realcircleapp.com.
